There is something about the smell of you first thing in the morning.
Like a junkie needing her wake-up fix, I gulp it in with ravenous greed.
And as my olfactory circuits buzz gleefully, I course a trail down your sleeping body taking stealthy little tastes and sampling little bites.
I drink in the soft noises that you make in your sleep as teeth meet skin.
I memorize each twitch of your body as nails scour and gouge.
I laugh as I watch you and your arousal rise together. Do you even know it is me? Or were you awakening to the echoes of a sensual dream?
Aah, well…I don’t really care about the sprites that call to you in dreams.
The reality of watching you coming awake to my passion and its reflection in your eyes are fulfilling enough.

She stood drenched by the golden fingers of dawn. All around her, life was slowly readying itself to face another day. The air was awash with the sounds and smells of new possibilities and adventures as yet unseen. But, within her was absolute stillness.
She postponed living one more day. He hadn’t yet returned, Her love. And so, she would go on existing without feeling alive until she could feel, taste and see life pulsing in him. She would go on looking but never seeing until his form tore through the distant mirage and into her field of vision. And, all the beautiful sounds of the sparkling new day shall remain unheard while she awaited the sound of his feet striking the pavement that lead him straight into his sanctuary…Her arms.

Sometimes, it is hard to hang onto faith in one’s self.
Sometimes, self-doubt worms its roots so deep within us that it feels like our whole being needs to be uprooted to make it go away.
Sometimes, we fail to realize that true confidence comes from within.
Sometimes, we go searching for affirmation of life in all things lifeless.
Sometimes, everything meaningful in life hangs in an unstable balance.
Sometimes, the soul feels like a weary bird, reluctant to take flight.
Remember, when you feel lost, it is wise to retrace your steps.
Remember, when you are tired and weary, it is OK to pause and grab a moment’s respite under the shade of life.
Remember, confidence is not the flame that burns bright but the wick that nurses the fire.
Remember that first we must understand our limits, before we vault over them to the beauty beyond.
Remember that all the wonder in life is spread out for your taking, if only you have the gumption to reach out.
Remember, the only affirmation of life is life itself.
All the years you have waited for them to “make it up to you” and all the energy you expended trying to make them change [or make them pay] kept the old wounds from healing and gave pain from the past free rein to shape and even damage your life. And still they may not have changed. Nothing you have done has made them change. Indeed, they may never change. Inner peace is found by changing yourself, not the people who hurt you. And you change yourself for yourself, for the joy, serenity, peace of mind, understanding, compassion, laughter, and bright future that you get…. Live, Laugh, Love …Journey to Balance
“I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;…
…so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.
because love cannot always fly without resting,
our lives return to the wall, to the rocks of the sea:
our kisses head back home where they belong.
By night, Love, tie your heart to mine, and the two
together in their sleep will defeat the darkness.
